Frequently Asked Questions
1. What do I do if I get hurt at work?
It is important to notify your supervisor as soon as possible following a work injury. Some employers will require drug testing following a work injury, and this must be completed in a timely manner.
If it is a true emergency, always seek medical attention promptly. For non-emergent injuries, notify your supervisor or human resources coordinator as your employer may have a designated medical provider to treat their industrial injuries.
2. How do I report my injury/ file a claim?
Your employer will have the necessary paperwork to file a "report of injury." Once the report in filed, your employers insurance carrier will be able to generate a claim number for your case. This claim number will be necessary for any medical billings and prescriptions associated with your work injury.
If your employer does not have a "report of injury" form, a universal form provided by the Idaho Industrial Commission can be used.

3. Why should I see a specialist, can't I just see my regular doctor?
You specialize at your job, your physician should too. A clinic with experience working with industrial claims can improve communication with both your employer and insurance provider to allow prompt treatment, diagnostic testing when needed, and ultimately expedite your return to work. IOMG specializes in work injuries, it is our solitary focus.
4. How is IOMG different from an urgent care center?
IOMG specializes in the treatment of industrial injuries only. Dr. Ludwig is a board certified/ fellowship trained specialist in spine and musculoskeletal injuries. His practice was recently acknowledged by Blue Cross of Idaho as a "Spine Center of Excellence", the only center in north Idaho.
IOMG also incorporates the services of a specialized nurse case manager, who will help coordinate your claim and assist both you and your employer. In addition, we have unprecedented access to other medical and surgical specialists to allow prompt evaluation and treatment should another medical or surgical specialist be required. We also offer extensive on-site imaging and diagnostic testing if needed.
As a rehabilitation specialist, Dr. Ludwig is also able to coordinate and supervise ancillary treatments including physical therapy, chiropractic and work conditioning. IOMG represents an integration of both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions that cannot be matched by an urgent care system.
